Amity University organises valedictory ceremony of 4th edition of ICEIL 2022

The event had Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, minister of state, MSME, as the chief guest with filmmaker Subhash Ghai as the guest of honour.

Amity University organised the valedictory ceremony of the fourth edition of International Conference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Leadership (ICEIL 2022), which was held virtually on January 20-22.

Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, minister of state, MSME, who was also the chief guest for the event, during his speech congratulated the students. "I'm extremely delighted to be present here today and would like to congratulate Amity for organising such a wonderful conference which promotes and encourages entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership amongst the youth of our country. The MSME sector contributes to nearly 30% of our country's GDP and provides employment to approximately 11 crore people. With the government's help and support, we will see further growth of the sector in the near future which will contribute to the development of our country. I would also like to congratulate all the winners of Amity who have won prizes in different categories, during this conference."

Filmmaker and educational innovator, Subhash Ghai, who was the guest of honour, avered, "I'm glad to be present here on this occasion and remember my meetings with Aseem Chauhan in Mumbai and also with the founder and president of Amity Education Group, Ashok K. Chauhan, when I started my film institute, Whistling Woods. He has been my first guru and mentor for starting this institute. It is only by following his principles that I could establish Whistling Woods successfully."

Sharing a piece of advice with the students, Ghai added, "Always think beyond the obvious and never stop learning as one can learn from anywhere and there is no end to learning. In order to be successful, one must develop leadership skills and lead by example. Last but not the least, be yourself and do not follow others, set your own example, create your own unique identity and be a role model for others."

Aseem Chauhan, chancellor, Amity University, Haryana, said that the conference aimed at bringing start-ups, entrepreneurship aspirants, SMEs, incubates, academicians, researchers, bankers, venture capitalists, accelerators, investors, financial experts, corporate leaders etc, from varied fields, on a common platform to promote entrepreneurship and innovation and exchange best business practices, trends, technologies, challenges, research and funding opportunities. "Our founder president, Ashok K. Chauhan has always maintained that Amity University will not only be a place of learning, but it will also be a place to foster research, innovation and entrepreneurship as we want to create successful leaders of tomorrow. I also congratulate the winners for winning prizes in various categories and performing exceedingly well in their respective fields," he further added.

On this occasion, awards were presented to the winners in different categories of competitions which were organised during the three-day conference.
